At connect server will identify itself by sending the string:
www.eit.se/hcpips

The client shall then identify itself with a password, default is:
eitcp

After that client can send commands to the server:
? : help
c <host> <port> : connect to tcp/ip port:
p <comport> <baudrate> : connect to serial port
d : disconnect
e : echo on
s : echo off
k : kill server
v : give server version
l [class]: list all class device names, class can be "Ports"
r : list available serial comm ports
n : list available serial comm ports (only name)
i : show server os


Command are answered like this:

If the answer requires more than one line answer it will prefix each line of output with  ":".
If command was ok the last line in the reply is ".".
If command failed the last line begins with "!" and an error message.
